Designer Walk: Jane Osborne

Jane Osborne is a native of Atlanta, Georgia, but has made Houston her home for over 30 years.   Jane is an interior designer in Houston and has been decorating homes for the past 13 years.  She was also an antique dealer in Houston for 10+ years at Carolyn Thompson Antiques and then one of MAI’s (Memorial Antiques & Interiors) original dealers where she displayed and sold antiques until 2012.  Jane closed this business as her interior design firm, A Feathered Nest, had grown so rapidly that it was impossible to handle both businesses.  However, Jane still has a love and knowledge of antiques and loves to incorporate them in the homes she decorates.

Jane has had design jobs in all the different regions of the United States as well as London and Paris.  Her work has been featured in several regional magazines, and her own home was displayed in the Better Homes & Gardens New Design Book published in 2003.  She also had homes which she designed featured in Houston’s Kappa Pilgrimage.  She has design sources all over the country as well as in England and in France and has a passion for creating a special, personalized,  home environment for her clients.

Jane has a B.S. degree from the University of Georgia in Home Economics & Interior Design.  Before resuming her interior design work with her own firm in 2002, Jane was busy as a volunteer in Houston.

She lists President of The Junior League of Houston, a board member of Bo’s Place and an active volunteer at The Kinkaid School as a few of her favorite volunteer jobs.

Jane’s daughter is a Theta and is living in London with her husband and 2 children.  As Jane travels back and forth “across the pond” to visit family, she is always thinking of her clients and looking for special finds and the latest in home design both in the United Kingdom and in Europe.  She is delighted to participate in “London’s Calling. . . 2015”.

A general admission ticket is required to attend this event.
